Binggrae Banana Milk • 빙그레바나나맛우유

Do you have any food that brings you precious memories of a place? For me, the cute and stout containers filled with the most delicious flavoured milks always brings me fond memories of my favouritest city in the world - Seoul. I love them so much!

We wasted absolutely no time in getting our banana milks from Familymart once we touched down at Incheon airport. They are the best welcome gifts in my opinion :)

우유 (milk) is one of the first few Korean vocab that I've learnt and ever since my first trip to Korea years back, the taste of the banana milk has been stuck in my head. Having the banana milk accompanying my trip on the airport shuttle bus to Myeongdong is one of the bestest thing ever. It never fails to warm my heart and fill me up with excitement with the many great/yummy things that I'm about to experience in Seoul.

Was stoked to find new flavours during our trip this time! Coffee Caramel and lychee peach. Previously they had melon flavour which was awesome too. I love it that they change their flavours seasonally and it's exciting to find out what's in store. I loved the coffee caramel one as it had a perfect burnt sweetness to it. It was so good that I bought a few extras to bring back home. The lychee peach tasted abit floral and fruity, very similar to popular lychee rose flavoured cakes and desserts that we see often.

Start your day with Binggrae's flavoured milks for a cheerful day ahead. The taste of it really fills me up with happiness as I go about on my daily adventures in Seoul.

How many bottles of milk are enough? Answer: never too many! We always ensured that our fridges were well stocked up with the milks so we can have them everyday. Personally I prefer the Banana light version compared to the original cos it is less heavy on the palette and feels healthier and more guilt-free.

Did you know that this super popular drink from Binggrae is over 40 years old? It's the number 1 processed milk in Korea and well-loved for its unique taste and bottle shape - which is designed to resemble the traditional korean pots. Somehow drinking it from the carton packaging just doesn't feel the same. It has to be from this jar shape container for me. This is a must-drink for all tourists coming to Korea.

Lastly, we were super lucky to find this rare flavoured milk (vanilla), and it was the last bottle, at one of the convenience marts near Petite France. I actually wished I had more of it cos it tasted so good! It tasted just like a vanilla milkshake.

Towards the winter season, we tried their new;y released Sweet Potato flavoured milk. It's very creamy and smooth and tastes exactly like those dried sweet potato sticks leaving a lingering sweet taste behind.

Stock up on your favourite Binggrae flavoured milks the next time you are in Korea. It's possible to bring them home but do note that you have to consume them within a few days.

Look at their super adorable Winter edition bottles. I especially loved the flushed cheeks that reflects one's own cheeks in Seoul's frigid winter days.

Try Binggrae's flavoured milks the next time you are in Korea. It will fill your tummy and heart with happiness and hopefully leave you fond memories of Korea just like it did for me.
